About Christina Craft Photography

Christina Craft is an international award-winning nature photographer living in Victoria, British Columbia on Vancouer Her work in travel photography, nature photography adn wildlife photography is world-renowned. Her nature stock photo library contains thousands of images from the natural world -- all for sale as either fine art nature prints or for commercial or editorial licensing.

Christina Craft's nature images are well known for high standards and her contribution to the profession of nature photography.

While at the Western Academy of Photography in Victoria, British Columbia, Christina won the top award of "best overall student" in her class. She also won best travel and outdoor photograph for an image of a treefrog in Costa Rica. Christina has also won several international photographic awards.

Christina's photographs have been published in a wide range of magazines and have been featured on the cover of calendars, posters, brochures and other promotional and commercial material.

Christina enjoys traveling internationally to find subjects to photograph. She especially enjoys wildlife from Costa Rica, including capuchin and mono titi monkeys. Christina also loves to photograph bears and often takes trips up and down the westcoast of Alaska, British COlumbia, Oregon and Washington. She recently did a sphoto safari in the rocky mountains of Canada.

Christina uses both digital and film cameras and can also photograph using large format and medium-format cameras. She is trained in several photographic genres, including wedding and commercial photography. Christina also has documentary filmmaking experience and has a master's degree in journalism. She is available for photojournalism projects and can travel anywhere to photograph for magazines or commercial enterprises.

Christina's home on Vancouver Island is alive with wildlife. The wilderness surrounding her home in Victoria, British Columbia holds some of Canada's most amazing wildlife.

Over the past few years, Christina has worked on several freelance photography assignments.

BEFORE PHOTOGRAPHY

I have 10 years of experience working as a senior editor, writer and online communications manager in corporate marketing and IT departments. I managed web teams at Corel Corporation (makers of CorelDRAW) and Newbridge Networks (now Alcatel) and worked in public affairs for the Government of British Columbia.
