Our Principal Photographer, Christina Craft

Christina has won several high-profile international awards for her work from the Wedding Photojournalist Association, Kodak, WedComp and the AGWPJA and her images have appeared in some of the world's leading magazines. She has a master's degree in journalism and a diploma in photography (she won the award for "best overall student" in her program). Christina now teaches at the Western Academy of Photography.

Christina has the ability to help even the most shy people feel comfortable in front of the camera. She takes the pressure off "put your feet this way and your hands that way" and instead uses techniques to encourage couples to act as naturally as possible.

As you can see from our online galleries, Christina can shoot in a range of styles from fashion to photojournalism to fine art. She will customize her approach to ensure you spend your wedding day exactly how *you* want to spend it (not how your photographer wants you to spend it).

In addition to wedding photography, Christina is also an acclaimed travel and nature photographer. Last year she placed as a finalist in the BBC Wildlife Photographer of the Year Competition and the Nature's Best Photography Contest. Her nature galleries received more than three million visits last year.

Christina will be traveling a large portion of the year on destination wedding photography assignments and we will be taking on a limited number of weddings (no more than 20) to allow us to give greater attention to each of our couples.

Some news

Until this year, FunkyTown was a large team of shooters, and included both Eunice Montenegro and Christina Craft as our two primary photographers. We're sad to announce that Eunice is moving to the east coast. If you're getting married in that area, let us know.

Our associate photographers will now be running their own businesses and Christina will be our only main photographer (for packages with second shooters, she will partner with one of the fabulous photographers we've worked with in the past).

With all of these changes in the works, we've modified our website so it now reflects Christina's work.
